I feel this way all the time. It is now characterized as general anxiety disorder but it used to to known as existential angst. It is a feeling of not really knowing if you are doing what you are supposed to be doing. I suppose it is a feature of the human condition but it seems to affect some of us more that others. These feelings need to be managed if you want to have some peace. Best wishes to all others with GAD

I ran accross your blog looking for others who recently joined a meatless diet. I can say you have to excercise along with it to see quicker results. I am on day 27 and no meat. I love to cook therefore I had to think of ways to create my evening meals however I did not give up my 1hour a day gym time. So far with this diet I have lost a total of 9lbs after 4 weeks which is about 2lbs a week. I do drink beer maybe 2 on a weekend and 1 during the week and also chocolate lol.

Funny how everyone knows when you turn the magical number of 50, things come to you…AARP sought me out to say…hey you’re 50, now you belong to us! I still won’t relent and join them just because they didn’t help me when I was 49 3/4!

I always enjoy reading your blog,and can understand how you may from time to time get stuck for inspiration. If you give any further thought to writing,channel your energy into your memoirs.It seems you have an interesting story to tell of your varied experiences.(the section on “why didn’t I” was great) …..and besides every second blogger THINKS they can rattle off a novel. True personal stories are usually far more interesting.

My brother found this and passed it on to me after I told him how I raised my 3 girls and kept them off excess white sugar products like candy, chocolate bars, pop etc. and how this contributed in an almost fluless upbringing throughout their whole school years. And the few times they did catch a flew they never had it longer then 24hours as opposed to those in the same situation at school where mostly off for a good week. So this ended being a life lesson for me to pass on… So for those who want to listen: all they have to loose is a few pounds and gain an inch or two on a childs growth…

Is this the colon cleanse method done in the clinic? How many times did you go to the clinic? Many say, this is the fastest way in cleansing our colon. It’s just that it’s so embarrassing right?

I have one of the first Dalton’s that were bred in Thompson Falls. I was living in Missoula at the time and the breeder was selling the puppies at Best Buy. We saw and really liked the mother, Kylie, and to our surprise the breeder just gave her to us. She is currently around 7 years old and is just a great dog. She wasn’t socialized much being raised on a farm and still isn’t great around new dogs, but she is good with our kids and other dog, a German Shepard named Jake. I think she is close to the perfect dog with great energy, but willing to just hang out and very low maintenance. When these dogs pass away, I would seriously considering traveling back to Montana to get another…

Your story reminds me that animals are unique as are humans. I still remember my first cat Harvey, and have always been slightly disappointed that every other cat I ever owned was not like dear old Harvey. Consolations on your loss.

OMG! that is about half a kilo,a whopping 500 grams.And though I consider myself a fellow chocaholic,the most I have managed at one go is about 250-300 grams.Hehe,seems like you have a serious problem.What the heck,enjoy your passion.

And though it is a strange post to comment for some people don’t give their pets a second thought, I believe that animals can become a part of a family. I’ve had dogs most of my life and they have lived to be 10 of 14, that’s alot for a pet and I found myself missing all when they were gone.

Yesterday we had one of our guinea pigs die. We have no idea what happened one minute he was fine eating a carrot and two hours later he was dead. We had only had him for 2 years but he is still missed.

Sorry about your cat. But I believe you did the right thing.

I just heard from a person who lives just 5 miles from a TV station transmitter. He cannot receive a signal because he lives in a valley. This was no problem with analog. The station is a powerful one and folks in the past who lived close to them had to install filters to keep the signal from bleeding over on all channels.

I’m beginning to think that just turning the TV off is the best option. Those folks make a ton of money off advertising anyway. Why should we have to pay to see tv that is already heavily subsidized by advertisers?

Yeah there are just some things you can’t give up. I didn’t know ice cream came in five gallons. It is a vicious cycle because when you exercise you end up hungrier which just seems to defeat the purpose. It is crazy but working out resulted in me gaining instead of losing. Joint Juice? Sounds interesting. Does it give you a buzz? Okay I couldn’t resist with that name. Well I wish you luck.

Actually, it is only in the United States and through the AKC that black and white colouring is not correct.

In the UK and in Europe where the GSP was developed, black and white colouring is very much accepted and is included in the British Kennel Club standard of the German Shorthair Pointer.

When I am feeling those pangs I usually go for dried apricots and almonds.Lots of chewing involved and tastes yummy.
