ABOUT “GRUGGERS”
Age: 60
Home: Missoula, Montana, USA
Family: Five children; Spouse, and a former spouse; Four Sisters (one deceased); Two parents (both still living)
Career: Building Construction: 2 years; Radio/TV broadcasting: 5 years; U.S. Navy 24 years; Municipal Government 11 years.
My nickname, “Gruggers,” was coined by a two-year-old granddaughter about nine years ago. We think it was her combination of “Grandpa” and “Doug.” It really stuck, and I am now ”Gruggers” to the wife, in-laws, and grandchildren
I have a novel “in-progress” and memoirs “in-mind.” I blog regularly on several different sites. I love wildlife and outdoor photography. I admire artistic people.
Just wanted to know that I am a loyal reader. What a great idea for a blog. Your stories are entertaining and I can visualize you as a youngster experiencing these events for the first time.

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment on my blog. I know I haven’t updated for awhile and I really need to. Just a lot of stuff going on personally and I got diverted for a minute. I plan on posting some things this weekend so check it out again sometime this week and there should some new stuff. I’m working on a post about how biased the media has been in covering this election from a journalist’s point of view.
BTW - I have also enjoyed your blogs - particularly your election one since I’m a political junkie. Good to know there’s other conservatives on the web.
