BE the Dog

Published by dougkueffler at 10:34 am under Family, Humor too Edit This

A dream only has to last a few seconds to leave a lasting impression.

My short dream last night was one of those. I nodded off for only a few seconds–on the couch–sitting right next to my wife, who didn’t even realize I was “gone.”

I WAS THE DOG! I don’t know what kind of dog–size, breed, gender, color–because I WAS the DOG!

I was running with other dogs…I could see them…and I JUMPED! That’s when I awoke with a START!dog-face-happy.jpg

Just like any other dream–when you jump off the cliff–or whatever.

I saw the dogs I was with were all running and playing in some sort of obstacle course area (it wasn’t familiar to me), and the other dogs were of various colors, with floppy ears, like retrievers and spaniels.

I didn’t have “Dog words” to describe them all, but I only assigned words after I woke up.

I jumped over an obstacle of some kind and that’s when I woke up. I looked at my wife and said, “Did I just fall asleep? Was I moving around like a sleeping dog? I think I was just dreaming that I was a DOG!”

She just looked at me.

By the way, I was a HAPPY dog. An older–retired–but happy dog.

Maybe it was a happy/playful dream because the dogs in your household are well treated. Anyway, just don’t go playing fetch, there’s a good boy. Woof! Woof!

What a great dream! It made me smile - especially since I so often used to wonder what the dog was dreaming when he was asleep! I wonder if he was dreaming that he was a people.
