Retirement Routine Not Restless Enough Perhaps

I wonder if I should bother to shave today; or shower.
I wonder if I could shower without shaving.
I wonder if the wife would notice if I didn’t shower.

I sit here at the computer and wonder if I am peeing more than normal.
Did I drink any water today or just the bold coffee?
Is four times in four hours too much?

I wonder if I ought to go to town (ten minutes);
or if I can put it off until tomorrow.

I could walk the dogs;
but I could just let them out into the yard.

I could work on my novel; one or the other of them.
I could work on my memoirs.
but I could just blog a bit.

I could begin our Tax return;
or I can wait until all of our “forms” arrive.

The garage needs to be cleaned out.
So does the basement storage area.

Maybe I will just eat some lunch.
Then watch TV or a video.
Or take a nap.

wow.

    I can relate to this. I’m not retired, and I’m not over 65, but I do work for myself at home, making my own money - so I can do what I want.

    Called retired. My friends all want to know what I do. I do nothing. Perhaps nothing is the wrong word but I do anything I would like to. Most of the time now is reading RSS feeds but hell I like ‘em.

    Right now I’m fighting a new ‘N’ wireless router trying to update my life. In my previous life I programmed computers and acted a tech support for a rather large organization but no longer.

    I’m currently 65 and retired at 58 but still don’t feel an need to be in a structured lifestyle (work). Now my spouse still ‘does things’ 1 day a week volunteering and 2 days every-other week actually working! - She does payroll at a trucking company - popular woman she is!

    Wonderful life - watch the dummies trying to crew up the country & enjoy.

    Oh boy,I hear you! Thanks for the laugh. In order to “mess up” my non existant routine,I often have my coffee in the garden,watching the birds,admiring the plants. Bliss.

    wow - congratulations. You’ve made it. I’m a Baby Boomer and my projected retirement age has been moved out to about 95.

    Hey,
    It looks like I have come to the right place.
    I am 62 and have been retired since I was 55. The market has dropped out on me and it has halfed my income. I need to get back to work… or lose the house.

    I don’t want to end up under the bridge drinking out of a paper bag. I could use some help. My Blog is http://admiratio-animus.blogspot.com/. I would appreciate some comments.
    Bryan

    this is it the moment of retirement…however retirement doesn’t mean that you cannot work anymore, instead you can try the work at home job or even online job from home.
