Source of All Evil Viruses and Bacteria
I had originally included this posting with yesterday’s post on Sugar and white blood cells, etc., but realized I was running about 400 words above what ANYONE COULD STOMACH of my preaching. So, today…Just where does the evil cold and flu viruses and other bacteria come from?
Besides improving our white blood cell efficiency in fighting off viruses and bacteria, perhaps the single most important habit we can develop to prevent the cold (and flu) in the first place is to WASH OUR HANDS! This may also be the single most important habit we can instill in our children (and grandchildren as well). We pick up the invading bacteria and viruses from other people who have colds and flu.
If we touch a door knob or toilet seat or flushing handle, a phone or the back of a chair in a restaurant….just about ANYTHING, ANYWHERE out in public…this is the source of ALL our colds and the flu virus too. After we touch something we then pass it on to our food, or touch our face and admit bacteria through our eyes, nose and mouth. We pass it on to our children…and…our children pass it on to us.
As a male, I am disgusted by the numbers of boys and men in public restrooms who come out of the “pooper” stall and walk right out the door! Absolutely disgusting! And then I see men who HAVE washed their hands touch and use the door handle where the guy who didn’t wash his hands….ohh, ick.
Do you ever watch those movie stars run along the stage touching hands with all the fans? Ick. Do you watch those politicians shaking hands with the crowd, and then picking up a baby to kiss? Ick.
What is WRONG with people? No wonder their kids get sick and miss school all the time. Speaking of schools…and I particularly include Day Cares…they are pigpens of bacteria and viruses! As are school busses! Make the kids wash with soap and fairly hot water for at least twenty seconds upon arrival home and before they eat and after they use the toilet….FORCE them to develop good hygiene. Rinsing off and then applying soap again is even better. Keep an alcohol gel available at the very least.
