My First Time: To Fist Fight Over a Girl
My First Time to Fight Over a Girl was also my last.
It’s not that I haven’t had girlfriends who weren’t worth fighting over, but I learned a valuable lesson during that First Fight.
My girlfriends have ALWAYS been worth fighting over. Let me put that out there right away. I don’t want any lingering doubts about that.
What prompted this First Fight was sufficient to justify, for me, I thought, a good whupping up on. My girlfriend and I were in her dorm room in college when one of her previous boyfriends knocks on the door. I knew who he was because she had told me she had dated him a couple of times. Well, she slipped out the door into the hallway to talk to him, but he didn’t know that I was in the room and could hear them.
After a couple of moments of quiet, whispered talk, I hear her say, “Don’t do that!” I got up and started walking toward the door, which was slightly ajar. Then she said, more urgently, “Stop it! Don’t touch me like that!” And then…”What do you think you’re doing!”
About that time I popped open the door, yelled something, I don’t remember what exactly, but I went at him, pushing and yelling, “Get out of here! (plus some expletives, of course). I got him over to the top of the stairs and I kicked him in the nuts and then kicked him down the stairwell. He ended up at the bottom of the stairs, and my girlfriend, who was screaming at ME by then, rushes to his side.
She then broke up with me, saying that I was dangerous and violent and she had never seen that side of me and she would always be afraid of me and of what I might do.
Wow. End of relationship. Lessons learned: (1) There’s usually a better way. (2) Don’t throw the first punch.
Gee,LMAO. Ithink it has something to do with those male hormnes whizzing around,screaming out “ACTION! ACTION!” Lessoned learned. Don’t try to be the White Knight in shining armour,be the romantic. Works (nearly) every time.
